Overview
Students will interact with each other in Arabic in a
number of true life situations chosen from a variety of contexts (e.g., asking
for information, ordering in a restaurant). They will rephrase and uses
indirect expressions to communicate a message using expressions at their level
of Arabic. They will obtain and process information in spoken or written
form on topics of academic, cultural, and historical interest, near the level
of a non-native speaker of the language at the beginners advance level.
They will read and understand the main ideas and
significant details of stories, discussions and
presentations so as to give a
description using simple sentences and phrases. They will also communicate
orally or in writing in regarding a
past, or present event using
simple vocabulary words and grammar about those events.
